1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, accessing or using Protero (the "app") or this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or the site.

2. Who we are

Protero is operated by Mykola Nazaruk, Khmelnytskyi, Vul. Chornovola, 120, 29000, Ukraine. You can contact us at general@protero-safety.com.

3. The service

Protero provides device-protection features, including Web Shield, AdBlock, Identity Monitoring, Device Security, Battery Health and SMS Filter. We may add, change or remove features to improve the service or for legal, security or technical reasons.

4. Your responsibilities

• Use Protero only on devices you own or are authorised to protect.
• Provide accurate information, such as an email address for Identity Monitoring.
• Keep your device and any credentials reasonably secure.
• Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access it in unauthorised ways.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Protero to break the law, infringe the rights of others, reverse-engineer or copy the app except as permitted by law, or attempt to bypass its security or licensing. We may suspend access if the app is used in a way that harms other users, the service, or us.

6. No guarantee of absolute protection

Protero is designed to reduce risk, but no security product can detect or prevent every threat. Features such as leak detection rely on third-party breach data and may not be complete or immediate. You remain responsible for your own security decisions, including keeping software updated and using strong, unique passwords.

7. Intellectual property

The app, this website, and their content, design and trademarks are owned by Protero or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended personal purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Third-party services

Protero may rely on or link to third-party services and data sources. We are not responsible for the content, policies or availability of third parties, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Protero will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app or website.

11. Termination

You may stop using Protero at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if required for legal, security or operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Ukraine, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
